Responsibilities
Drive technical direction and architectural decisions for large-scale, distributed systems
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable code across multiple languages and environments
Lead system design discussions, architecture reviews, and technical strategy for key initiatives
Collaborate with product, design, and research teams to build impactful developer-facing features
Ensure best practices in code quality, testing, observability, and security are consistently applied
Evaluate trade-offs between scalability, performance, and complexity to deliver maintainable solutions
Mentor and guide engineers, fostering technical growth and raising team standards
Contribute to improving engineering culture, workflows, and development processes
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in software engineering, including work on large-scale, production-grade systems
Strong expertise in at least one language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Rust, Java/Kotlin) and proficiency in multiple languages
Proven experience designing and scaling distributed systems with a focus on reliability and performance
Solid background in cloud architecture (AWS, Google Cloud, or similar environments)
Demonstrated ability to simplify complex systems and reduce technical debt effectively
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and security best practices across the SDLC
Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, and system performance optimization
Excellent communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and emerging trends in the AI ecosystem
Experience with real-time or collaborative systems (e.g., CRDTs) is a plus
Curiosity, critical thinking, and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
