Position Summary
A leading packaging manufacturer is seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Manager to lead and develop the maintenance function within a high-speed production environment. This role is responsible for ensuring optimal equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and driving continuous improvement across all maintenance operations. The Maintenance Manager will oversee preventative and predictive maintenance programs, manage a skilled technical team, and partner closely with production and engineering to support operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Plan and execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
Collaborate with production leadership to prioritize maintenance activities and minimize disruption to operations.
Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and vendor relationships.
Implement and improve maintenance systems, processes, and KPIs (downtime, MTBF, MTTR, etc.).
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.
Support capital projects, equipment installations, and facility upgrades.
Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring equipment failures.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within high-speed packaging or printing.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
Proven experience leading teams and improving maintenance performance.
Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a strong plus.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, production‑driven environment.
