Locums Neurologist - Cincinnati, Ohio (IMLC Accepted)
Clinical Role: Inpatient Neurologist - Locum Tenens
Assignment Details- Dates of Coverage: June 29, 2026 (8:00 AM) - July 12, 2026 (6:00 PM)
- Schedule: Rotating weekday and weekend call
- Practice Setting: 100% inpatient hospital
- Patient Population: 100% adult
- Reason for Coverage: Abrupt provider departure
- Average Patient Volume: 10-20+ hospital-based patients per day
- Team Structure:
- 2 Neurologists
- 3 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
- Support Services: Onsite laboratory and radiology
- EMR: EPIC
- Provide comprehensive inpatient neurological care
- Participate in rotating weekday and weekend call
- Interpret radiologic examinations (unofficial reads)
- Administer thrombolytic therapy for acute stroke management
- Perform and interpret EEG (Electroencephalogram) and EMG (Electromyogram) studies (reading only; testing performed by others)
- Conduct brain death examinations
- Round in hospital for required hours; may receive after-hours callbacks (rare, but past locums' timecards indicate some frequency)
- Collaborate with neurologists, APPs, and multidisciplinary teams
- Board Certification: Neurology - Required
- Licensure: Active Ohio license or IMLC eligibility - Required
- Certifications: ACLS (AHA or ARC) - Required
- Experience: Inpatient neurology with proficiency in stroke management and neurodiagnostic procedures
- Skills Required:
- EEG and EMG reading (no testing required)
- Radiologic exam interpretation (unofficial)
- Thrombolytic therapy administration
- Brain death examinations
