Position Overview
As a Logistics Specialist, you will provide day‑to‑day logistics support, including order entry, routing and dispatch, traffic coordination, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of shipments. Your schedule will be Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 am – 8:00 pm.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain customer profile information and enter loads from customer tenders.
Update account managers on problem loads and actions taken; communicate load status to receivers and customers.
Monitor daily pick‑ups and deliveries, verifying timely arrival and condition of loads.
Handle check calls from drivers, ensuring on‑time delivery; validate all load data before marking loads delivered for accounting.
Investigate product overages, shortages, damages, and complete appropriate documentation.
Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments for all loads; accept or decline loads according to account manager direction.
Provide detailed route directions and instructions to drivers.
Essential Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of logistics experience.
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
General knowledge of the transportation industry.
Experience writing routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions provided in written, verbal, or diagram form.
