Cityworks Senior Analyst
Location: 400 South Fort Harrison Ave, Clearwater, FL 33756 and Remote
Schedule: remote 90 percent of the time, periodic in office to include a monthly mandatory meeting
Business Services Technology (BTS) in Pinellas County is seeking an innovative, technically skilled, and highly motivated individual to support and advance the County’s Cityworks Asset Management System (AMS). This Application Analyst, Senior role is responsible for the technical administration, configuration, and enhancement of the Cityworks software suite and all related components.
The Senior Application and System Support Analyst will collaborate closely with Cityworks stakeholders, end users, and operational teams to define goals, develop solutions, and continuously improve the enterprise asset management program.
Responsibilities
Maintain, monitor, and enhance the existing Cityworks environment.
Implement, configure, and administer Cityworks AMS with a focus on asset management workflows.
Meet with end users to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and recommend solutions.
Develop technical solutions to replace legacy systems or manual processes.
Build and maintain ETL processes for data migration and integration across disparate systems.
Provide system administration, data analysis, and technical support for new and existing clients.
Apply appropriate software development methodologies across web development, IIS, SQL Server, AWS RDS, and ArcGIS Server.
Support needs assessments and recommend process improvements.
Conduct QA/QC on personal work and peer deliverables; maintain metadata and develop best practices.
Prepare technical documentation, project requirements, implementation plans, and procedures.
Build custom reports using SQL, SSRS, Power BI, Power BI Dataflows, and Crystal Reports.
Design and interpret data models to meet functional and reporting needs.
Lead internal and external technical training sessions.
Prepare clear, concise, and professional written communication.
Develop and maintain workflow documentation and management practices.
Manage system upgrades, enhancements, and technology solutions supporting the asset management program.
Assess current GIS/Cityworks environments and recommend improvements.
Present system designs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Support Cityworks using Esri’s GIS platform (ArcGIS Server, enterprise geodatabases).
Install, configure, and maintain Cityworks Server components.
Configure Cityworks core modules and add-ons including AMS, Storeroom, Admin, and Styles.
Demonstrate leadership, dependability, judgment, communication, and initiative.
Foster collaboration, communication, and team cohesion within BTS OTI and partner departments.
Support and promote organizational change and high-quality service delivery.
Contribute to project schedules, resource planning, and priority management.
Identify and analyze complex problems, distinguishing relevant information and proposing logical solutions.
Take ownership of assignments and cross-functional challenges with urgency and professionalism.
Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including presenting complex concepts.
Lead or support project teams, including large-scale efforts.
Meet with customers to analyze requirements and develop functional specifications.
Promote best practices, emerging technologies, and organizational processes.
Maintain strong working relationships with BTS OTI teams, other County agencies, and vendors.
Support and ensure compliance with BTS OTI’s Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience:
Enterprise application and system administration, including configuration, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, security, and infrastructure efficiency. Enterprise SQL, database management systems, data analysis, and SQL/database problem-solving.
Education:
Degree in information technology, computer science, computer technology, or related field
7 years technical experience as described above; or
Associate's degree and 5 years experience as described above; or
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years experience as described above; or
Master’s degree and 1 year experience as described above.
Must be able to work varied schedules, including during emergencies or disaster events.
