Job Summary
The Energy Analyst will be responsible for managing third‑party companies (outsourcing) that oversee electricity supply for Aggregates (Aggs) and Ready‑Mix (RM) sites. This role ensures efficient energy procurement, monitors consumption, and drives cost optimization across all locations.
Job Responsibilities
Oversee and maintain relationships with third‑party electricity suppliers.
Oversee relationships with third‑party electricity suppliers to ensure optimal service.
Manage vendor performance and address any supply issues efficiently.
Procurement Oversight
Ensure electricity procurement is cost‑effective, reliable, and aligned with operational needs.
Take charge of sourcing electricity contracts that balance cost savings with supply reliability, ensuring agreements meet both current and future operational demands.
Regularly review procurement strategies to adapt to market shifts, guaranteeing the organization benefits from favorable terms and uninterrupted service.
Track and analyze energy consumption data to identify patterns and improvement opportunities.
Cost Optimization
Develop and implement strategies to reduce energy costs and improve efficiency in RMX and AGG operations.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure adherence to all applicable energy regulations and standards.
Reporting
Prepare and present regular energy performance reports to senior management.
Work closely with site managers at Aggs and RM locations to support energy‑saving initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience managing third‑party vendors or outsourcing services.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in interpreting complex data.
Familiarity with energy sector regulations and standard.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience with U.S. power markets
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Good oral and written communication skills
Problem‑solving skills
Computer literate with knowledge of applicable software
Continually undergo training to enhance technical and managerial skills
Working Conditions
Capability to work extended hours as necessary
Ability to participate in required overnight travel as necessary
Physical Requirements
Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and fingering to a significant degree
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently; job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors
