Job Summary
Manages warehouse operations, processes, and resources. Oversees receiving and stowing, picking and packing, shipping, inventory management, and documentation. Monitors the safety and security of goods and materials. Utilizes a warehouse management system (WMS), enterprise resource system (ERP), or other system to track and analyze processes and performance. Implements strong safety policies and procedures. Typically reports to a director. Manages subordinate staff in the day‑to‑day performance of their jobs. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area. 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.

Job Responsibilities

Achieves warehouse operation objectives while reinforcing standards and procedures as defined by Bailey International and the Director of Fulfillment

Actively seeks opportunities for continued improvement in Warehouse operations by analyzing process workflow, warehouse design, and warehouse operation system and recommends improvements as needed

Manages audits and annual physical inventories as required and develops plans to eliminate lost inventory to less than 1% COS annually

Communicates results vs established metrics for inbound receiving within quality control specifications and executes direction given by Supply Chain on disposition of goods

Facilitates the process for inbound and outbound damage to goods and monitors product loading to reduce errors and waste

Builds and maintains relationships with service providers to support business needs within the department

Defines, prioritizes, and reviews workload to ensure staffing levels are sufficient to execute timely movement of materials to support production

Directs employees who perform receiving, inventory control and shipping functions in support of plant production operations

Manages large scale projects within a manufacturing setting

Resolves employee, mechanical, operational, and resource related issues that arise during the shift so that individual and team productivity is maintained

Leads the warehouse, receiving and shipping teams

Recruits, mentors, and coaches employees

Maintains a safe and healthy work environment for areas of responsibility

Safely operates machinery within the warehouse (i.e., forklift, scissor lift, etc.)

Trains and licenses team members in the safe and proper use of on machinery within the warehouse (i.e., forklift, scissor lift, etc.)

Job Requirements

High school diploma/GED or at least one year of equivalent work experience

At least five years of progressive work experience in or more years of experience in a warehouse role with at least three years of supervisory experience

Forklift license/Forklift operation experience

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in industrial science discipline, Business Administration, or related field and/or related military experience

Experience working with different warehouse management systems

Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office products
