About The Role
The Facilities Maintenance Manager
is responsible for managing the facilities including operation, maintenance, and repairs at the cultivation and retail locations in the local market. The Facilities Maintenance Manager leads, manages and oversees a team of facilities technicians. The Facilities Maintenance Manager possesses the knowledge and ability to perform semi-skilled technical repairs and maintenance work on the facilities, including ongoing building maintenance, equipment and minor repair work, as well as the ability to effectively project manage any repairs or work required by a third party. This position reports to the Facilities Director and collaborates with the National Director, Facilities Maintenance Manager for best practices.

Responsibilities
(required duties and responsibilities):
Oversee and/or perform minor and major repairs of all buildings and equipment. Major repairs may include planning and coordination with external contractors or licensed tradesmen. Repairs can include emergency situations and/or scheduled repairs
Lead, train, develop and manage members of the facilities’ team
Leads and monitors – regularly scheduled inspections – for maintenance and safety procedures, routine repairs and trouble shooting, as necessary to ensure that all structure(s) and operating systems are in good working order, compliantly per state regs and company policies.
Performs corrective and preventive maintenance and repairs in order to identify potential issues before they become costly problems.
Responsible for procurement and availability of vehicles, tools, materials, repairs parts, maintenance supplies and equipment (based on approved spend and reqs) when necessary and ensures that they are used safely, effectively, and efficiently.
Engages and negotiates with external contractors and licensed tradesmen – on large scale projects – with management review and approval
Establishes and manages SOPs for maintenance, sanitation and waste management.
Maintains the inventory, storage and distribution of all facilities supplies and equipment
Provides recommendations for new, value-add equipment. Manages the installation, testing and maintenance of this and all equipment
Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement to help enhance the functionality, efficiency and sustainability of our fixed assets
Schedules and collaborates with outside entities for maintenance and upkeep of operational systems through the facility; including janitorial, landscaping, HVAC and electrical to achieve a productive and quality work environment
Maintains current knowledge of and compliance with all state regulations, policies and procedures.
Creates and maintains a system for maintaining warranties, records, licenses, inspections, service agreements and contracts for all of our fixed assets
Ensures all necessary information is disseminated and understood by all facilities staff
Develops SOPs for operations and maintenance relating to facilities and services
Performs other duties as assigned by the Facilities Director and/or the National Leadership team, actively collaborating cross-departmentally as needed
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent - Required
Hands-on experience with and demonstrated knowledge of the use and care of commonly used equipment and tools – Required
Strong experience with preventive maintenance, planning and execution - Preferred
4 or more years of facilities management experience with certifications including OSHA

Experience complying with GMP standards
Must pass both state and federal background checks
