Gales Ferry Medical Group is a physician-owned, private practice seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our internal medicine team on a full-time or part-time basis. Quick Look:
- Schedule: Part-Time or Full-Time (3 - 4 days/week). Highly flexible scheduling with a designated weekday off. Very light, shared rotating call. No weekends.
- Supportive Environment: Work collaboratively alongside 2 Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physicians, 3 Nurse Practitioners, and a dedicated support staff. Training will involve an extended appointment length during ramp-up period to ensure a smooth transition and unhurried care.
- Location: Outpatient clinic in Gales Ferry, CT (optional, highly flexible opportunity to conduct some nursing home rounds).
Practice Overview:
- Broad Scope of Care: Manage a diverse adult patient panel with a significant geriatric population. The role involves providing comprehensive primary care services, including sick and well visits and some general gynecologic care.
- Clinical Duties: Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care, including chronic disease management, acute sick visits, and preventative care. Opportunities to perform joint injections, basic women's health exams (Pap smears), prostate exams, and diabetes education.
- Modern Workflows: Step into a highly respected, established practice where patients are never treated like numbers, seeing families who have been with the practice for over 40 years. Precepting opportunities are also available for those interested in mentoring future APPs.

Qualifications:
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted Connecticut license (or eligibility to obtain).
- Experience: 1-2 years of clinical practicing experience in primary care or an outpatient setting is preferred; however, highly motivated new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Attributes: Strong bedside manner, a relationship-based approach to care, and HIPAA compliance.
Colorado, New York, New Jersey, California, Connecticut and Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $135,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on relevant factors such as experience, education, and geographic location.
