Description
The Corporate Receptionist/Teller I (PT) provides superior quality customer service and a positive banking experience for customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The duties listed below may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties, as assigned, including cross training across other departments, as necessary. In addition, incumbent may be required to rotate between banking centers, as needed.
Processes teller transactions including cashing checks, receiving and processing deposits and withdrawals, making transfers, balancing teller drawer and other assistance as requested
Promotes bank products and services
Obtains sales referrals for other business units of the Bank
Ensures accurate and timely processing of transactions in accordance with established teller policies and procedures
Performs a wide variety of clerical and receptionist duties
Provides professional and friendly customer service and information to customers, employees, visitors and vendors in-person and via telephone
Directs and coordinates clients with proper brokerage team members
Notifies bank employees via phone or e-mail when a customer has been waiting for an extended period of time
Participates in job specific training and other various Bank training programs, as necessary
Maintains current knowledge of internal risk controls and loss prevention, including reporting of suspicious or unusual customer activity per Bank policy
Maintains current knowledge and complies with all federal and state laws and regulations and all established Bank policies and procedures, including internal audit controls related to department operations
Maintains current knowledge of all rules, regulations, and laws as they apply to BSA/OFAC/USA Patriot Act/CIP/AML
Qualifications
These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.
A self-starting individual who possesses a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
At least 6 months of experience working as a Teller for a financial institution
Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills are essential
Skills should include typing, PC, 10-key calculator, and ability to handle large quantities of currency
Good problem solving skills and solid decision making, effective communication, prioritization and organization of work activities
Mental concentration is necessary for handling frequent interruptions and working in a fast paced environment
Position can be mentally and physically stressful, requires standing for most of the work day, and requires lifting, carrying, or moving heavy boxes or bags of currency and coin weighing up to 25 pounds
Must be able to work flexible hours as scheduled Monday through Saturday
Bilingual in English and Spanish is desired
