Medical Receptionist, Patient Care Coordinator
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Receptionist, Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at Orthopedic & Sports Physical Therapy Inc. to assist in providing exceptional care to our patients. As the first point of contact for our clinic, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This is a part time and/or full-time position.
Responsibilities:
Greet patients upon arrival, check them in, and provide necessary paperwork for completion
Schedule and manage patient appointments, ensuring optimal utilization of clinic resources
Verify insurance information and assist patients with billing inquiries
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in our electronic medical records system
Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner
Coordinate with the clinical team to ensure smooth patient flow and optimal patient care
Assist with various administrative tasks, such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
Light cleaning duties to ensure a clean and organized reception area
Assist therapists with tasks as needed, such as setting up equipment or preparing treatment rooms
Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and guidelines to safeguard patient confidentiality
Collaborate with team members to continuously improve clinic operations and patient experience
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems and other office software
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes is a plus
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations
