Northern Light Medical Management is seeking a dedicated Locum Radiologist to support Wooster Community Hospital s high-volume emergency department. This integral role offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your expertise in a fast-paced hospital setting, delivering crucial diagnostic services across diverse modalities.
In this position, you will be responsible for interpreting a wide range of imaging studies, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine, primarily focusing on emergency cases. The role requires competence in stroke/perfusion imaging and the ability to read all CT scans except cardiac. You will contribute to patient care by providing accurate, timely readings that aid in immediate clinical decision-making. Remote work flexibility is available, ensuring a balanced work-life environment.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in general radiology with competence in emergency and stroke imaging
- Ability to read high-volume caseloads efficiently (90-100 studies per shift)
- Proficiency in CT (excluding cardiac), MRI, US, and NM modalities
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and remotely, with reliable internet access
- Certified medical license in Ohio or eligibility for licensure
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in stroke/perfusion imaging
- Prior on-call or ER radiology experience
- Familiarity with MERGE or similar PACS systems
- Additional subspecialty expertise in neuro or musculoskeletal imaging
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification or eligibility in Radiology
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital-based radiology experience, with emergency read capabilities
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to cover high-volume ER cases, including stroke/perfusion studies
- Must include malpractice insurance as part of compensation
- Ability to commit starting 03/06/2026
- Willingness to work flexible, up to 8-hour shifts with potential for additional hours based on volume
