JOB OVERVIEW
• Job Title: Anesthesiology
• Job Type: Locum Tenens
• Location: San Francisco, CA
• Service Setting: Hospital / Ambulatory Surgery Centers
• Coverage Type: Clinical Only
• Coverage Period: June 15, 2026 - Ongoing (26+ weeks)
• Clinical Shift Schedule: 4-5 days per week; 8-10 hour shifts (flexible scheduling)
COVERAGE DATES
• Ongoing coverage; minimum 2 weeks per month required (full-time preferred)
PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Adolescents (13+) and Adults
• Patient Volume/Census: TBD
• Case Mix: General anesthesia cases with occasional regional; high-acuity inpatient and ambulatory surgical cases; no cardiac, liver, or neuro cases
FACILITY INFORMATION
• Trauma Level: High acuity (tertiary care environment)
• EMR System: Epic
• Office Equipment Available: Standard OR equipment across multiple sites
• Specialty Backup Available: CRNA support (occasional supervision)
• Support Staff Available: Multidisciplinary OR teams
• Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
• Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 60-90 days
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Rate: TBD
• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: TBD
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• General anesthesia
• Regional anesthesia (preferred)
• Management of moderate to high-acuity surgical cases
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active CA license required
• Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• DEA: Active CA DEA required
• Certifications: BLS (AHA required)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years recent anesthesiology experience; tertiary care experience required
• Other Qualifications: Must be comfortable working solo; ability to float across multiple sites required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide anesthesia services across inpatient and outpatient surgical settings
• Perform general and regional anesthesia techniques
• Manage high-acuity cases as needed
• Collaborate with CRNAs and surgical teams
• Float between multiple facility sites as required
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR
