Schedule
Day Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-4:30pm
Additional hours may be required during the week or weekend depending on breakdowns and project needs

Oversee and Repair Electrical Equipment & Components Backup Support for General Maintenance Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, low/hire voltage, and lighting systems
Perform routine and preventative maintenance and inspections on electrical systems and and/or production equipment
Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices
Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics
Promptly respond to emergency radio calls; work efficiently to repair machinery with minimal downtime
Understand basic HVAC, Freon and CO2 systems and well as various testing equipment
Accurately complete work orders to document materials used and time spent on maintenance projects
Assist other maintenance or production personnel, when requested and/or time allows
Assist with inventory control, as needed
Safely operate skid steers, forklifts, telehandlers, and scissors lifts, if needed
Work safely following all company safety policies, practices, procedures, and improvement initiatives
Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations; comply with all regulatory requirements for food safety
Situations may arise that require employees to temporarily or permanently assume responsibility for tasks not specifically outlined in this job description. Employees may be requested to work additional hours and/or accommodate a heavier than normal workload.
Qualifications
Electrical degree or completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship Program
Experience working as an electrician or technician, preferred; manufacturing experience, a plus
Advanced understanding of electrical codes and systems, control wiring, safety systems, blueprints, and maintenance & repairs
Experience with Studio 5000, SCADA or PLC Programming, a plus
Familiarity with HVAC systems, generators, Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), preferred
Ability to independently solve problems, use resources, and execute tasks
Proficiency in using tools such as multimeters and meggers
Awareness of the importance of food safety standards while performing equipment maintenance
Experience with skid steers, forklifts, telehandlers, and scissors lifts, preferred; pass in-house certifications upon hire
Knowledge of safety procedures such as confined space entry, line opening, fall protection, lockout tagout, and hot work
Effectively communicate with supervisors and co-workers and follow written and/or verbal instructions
Accurately read and understand signs, labels, warnings, directions, operator manuals, service manuals, and wiring schematics associated with the maintenance and/or operation of instruments, equipment, and/or chemical usage
Proficient in basic math skills, measuring, and reading data trends; accurately and legibly record information
Willingness and ability to work extra hours as needed during the week or weekend
Ability to work in a facility that processes pigs
Must be 18 years of age or older for insurance purposes
Physical Requirements
Consistently push and/or pull heavy objects
Consistently bend at the waist and/or knees or crawl
Consistently climb stairs and/or ladders up to 10 feet or be elevated in scissors lifts up to 40 feet
Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist level; rarely lift up to 75 pounds
Stand up to 100% of the workday
Ability to distinguish colors (ex: wire color codes)
Tolerance of varying environmental conditions heat, cold, and/or wet and slippery conditions
