Equity Derivatives BA PM

Location: New York City, NY
Duration: Long Term Contract
Key Responsibilities:
Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements for equity derivatives trading, risk management, and operations.
Process Analysis: Analyze current business processes related to equity derivatives and identify areas for improvement, ensuring efficiency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Solution Design: Work with IT teams to design and implement solutions that meet business needs, including trading platforms, risk management systems, and reporting tools.
Data Analysis: Perform data analysis to support decision-making processes, including trade performance, risk exposure, and market trends.
Documentation: Create detailed documentation, including business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, use cases, and user stories.
Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test plans to ensure that implemented solutions meet the specified requirements. Validate data accuracy and system functionality.
Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including traders, quants, risk managers, and IT teams, to ensure alignment and understanding of project goals and progress.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all business processes and systems comply with relevant regulations, including MiFID II, EMIR, and other applicable standards.
Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective use of new systems and processes.
Domain Expertise: In-depth knowledge of equity derivatives products, including options, futures, swaps, and structured products. Understanding of trading strategies, risk management practices, and market dynamics related to equity derivatives. Familiarity with the regulatory landscape affecting equity derivatives, including key regulations and compliance requirements.
Technical Skills and Tools Experience: Experience with trading platforms such as Bloomberg, Reuters, or proprietary systems. Knowledge of risk management tools and systems used in the equity derivatives market. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and statistical software (e.g., R, Python). Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Trello. Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView for data visualization and reporting.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services industry, with a focus on equity derivatives.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CFA, FRM, or PMI-PBA are a plus.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple stakeholders.
