Job Description
The Contractor shall provide services for the planning, design and implementation of wide area communications systems and engineering for the commercialization of deployed communications and network management for the MARFORCENT Theater. Provide technical and operational support including subject matter expertise for Frequency Division Multiple Accesses (FDMA), Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA), Ultra High Frequency (UHF) Tactical Satellite (TACSAT), Global Broadcast Satellite (GBS) and other satellite communication (SATCOM) networks.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in configuring networks, monitoring systems, activating remote terminals as well as tracking and resolving SATCOM incident reports and problems related to baseband, intermediate frequency (IF), and RF communications.

Submit and analyze Satellite Access, Gateway Access via the Joint Integrated SATCOM (Satellite Communication) Tool.

Provide engineering and commercialization management during the development of communication systems that include a wide array of Commercial-Off-the Shelf (COTS) assets, networking and transmission equipment that may include routers, servers, switches, microwave, fiber, etc. Develop engineering diagrams that include operation and system level views while executing sound engineering change management process.

Required Qualifications

Experience with FDMA, TDMA, SATCOM, COTS comms systems; no explicit certification required

8+ years in military communications systems engineering, specifically FDMA, TDMA, UHF, TACSAT, GBS, and other SATCOM networks

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Current passport and be willing to travel and work OCONUS

Typical office environment

Must be able to sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods.

Occasional standing while working in server rooms or at patch panels.

Must be able to lift and move moderately heavy equipment (e.g., routers, switches, servers) typically up to 30–50 pounds.

Manual Dexterity required for connecting cables, configuring devices, and handling small tools or components.

Must be able to view computer screens for long periods.

Ability to distinguish color-coded cabling and indicator lights.

Must be able to climb ladders or crawl in tight spaces for cable runs or equipment installation.

May require walking between different buildings or workstations.

Must be able to communicate clearly with technical teams and end-users.

May need to hear alarms, server beeps, or equipment noises indicating issues
