Average Cases per Day: 2-3

️ Key Responsibilities & Procedures:
Perform a full spectrum of thoracic procedures including:
Bronchoscopy & Navigational Bronchoscopy
Robot-Assisted Thoracic Surgery & Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS)
Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) & Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
Tube Thoracostomy & Tracheostomy
Pericardial Window, Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm Repair
Mediastinoscopy, Segmentectomy, Lobectomy, Bilobectomy, Pneumonectomy, Thoracotomy, Decortication
Additional advanced care: Lung cancer, esophageal surgery, thoracic outlet syndrome, diaphragmatic hernias, rib plating, pleural effusion, mesothelioma
Requirements:
Board-Certified in Thoracic Surgery
Active Virginia Medical License
BLS & ACLS Certifications
Must be local (mileage reimbursed, no travel/hotel)
Submit flat rate for 24-hour coverage (includes all call hours)
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive flat-rate 24-hour coverage
Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate
Credentialing:
Estimated 120 days
