About The Role
The Specialist, People Operations HRIS is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement of HR systems and processes across IMAX’s global organization. Reporting to the Director, HRIS & Technology, this role focuses on HR Operations and Workday configuration across multiple modules, ensuring systems are efficient, scalable, and aligned with evolving business needs. It plays a key role within the HR technology ecosystem, supporting a complex, global Workday environment and partnering closely across the HR function, including Talent Acquisition and Total Rewards, as well as with Finance and IT to deliver high‑impact solutions.
Responsibilities
Function as a subject matter expert for Workday configuration across key modules, including Recruiting, Compensation, and Core HCM
Support full HR systems lifecycle activities including requirements gathering, configuration, testing (unit, integration, UAT), deployment, and post-Go‑Live support
Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver scalable HR solutions, ensuring alignment with compliance, audit, and business requirements
Support ongoing Workday enhancements, system stability, and bi‑annual release activities across a global HR environment
Act as a trusted advisor on Workday capabilities, guiding stakeholders toward best‑practice system design and process optimization
Manage HR and TA operational and system‑related inquiries, overseeing each request from intake through timely assessment, resolution, and implementation of sustainable, long‑term solutions.
Support HR and TA operations through Workday workflows, transactions, and process optimization including employee lifecycle activities, document handling and processing.
Collaborate with stakeholders across global teams, ensuring alignment, transparency, and effective change management in a fast‑paced environment.
Support seamless and globally consistent HR and Talent Acquisition processes across multiple business units and regions
Support compensation cycles (merit, bonus, equity) within the HRIS system
Handle confidential HR data with accuracy, care, and professionalism in alignment with IMAX standards.
Provide training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to stakeholders to drive adoption, capability building, and self‑sufficiency in HR and TA processes.
Deliver actionable workforce insights through reporting and analytics, enabling data‑driven decision‑making across HR and business leadership.
Maintain data governance practices that ensure integrity, compliance, and consistency across global HR systems and processes.
Support audit readiness and regulatory compliance through strong controls and structured data management practices.
Support security configuration and role‑based access management within HR systems.
Qualifications
3–5+ years of hands‑on Workday configuration experience (Recruiting, HCM and/or Compensation preferred)
Strong understanding of Workday and HR processes across the employee lifecycle
Experience building Workday reports and dashboards; strong Excel and data analysis skills
Familiarity with Workday EIBs and data conversion processes
Demonstrated experience operating in complex, enterprise‑scale, global HR environments with cross‑functional stakeholders
Proven ability to manage end‑to‑end system lifecycles while balancing multiple priorities and maintaining high data accuracy standards
Strong capability in translating business needs into scalable system solutions that improve employee and business experience
Highly self‑directed and proactive, with a strong ability to work independently and drive initiatives from concept through execution

$57,489.00 – $71,860.00 per year / 57 489,00 – 71 860,00 € per year. Final pay within this range will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and the geographic location of the role. Additional non‑discretionary compensation may apply where eligible.
