
Senior Transportation Project Manager

Responsibilities
Kforce has a client seeking a Senior Transportation Project Manager in Hollywood, FL. This role is responsible for overseeing and managing all phases of transportation infrastructure projects, from planning and design through construction and close-out. The Senior Transportation Project Manager leads the successful delivery of complex roadway projects with a strong emphasis on rural roadway systems, storm drainage, and utility infrastructure including water, sewer, fiber, and electric. The position applies advanced technical expertise and project management principles to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards. Responsibilities include coordinating engineering consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders, managing project schedules and costs, and ensuring quality control throughout the project lifecycle. The Senior Transportation Project Manager plays a key leadership function in supporting capital improvement initiatives and advancing long-term infrastructure resilience, mobility, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
Minimum of 15 years of experience in roadway engineering and construction management, with a strong focus on transportation infrastructure projects
Demonstrated experience managing the planning, design, construction, and close-out phases of roadway projects
Proven expertise in rural roadway design and construction, including storm drainage systems and utility coordination (water, sewer, fiber, electric)
Strong knowledge of Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) practices
Experience coordinating with multiple agencies, consultants, and contractors
Florida project experience strongly preferred
Hands‑on, practical, and solutions‑oriented approach to project delivery
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Valid Florida driver's license
Pay Range
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. Employee pay is based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
