The Role
As a Program Manager on AMD’s Substrates Strategy Team, you will play a critical role in shaping the capacity strategy that enables AMD’s next‑generation high‑performance products. In this highly visible role, you will drive strategic planning and execution of substrate capacity programs, working at the intersection of technology development, manufacturing, and supplier ecosystems. You will partner closely with internal engineering teams, external suppliers, and manufacturing stakeholders to align technology roadmaps with long‑term capacity, cost, and capability needs. This role offers the opportunity to influence strategic decisions, collaborate with global teams, and contribute directly to AMD’s technology leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Lead high‑impact, cross‑functional programs that support AMD’s long‑term substrate capacity and technology strategy.
Plan and enable supplier capacity to meet AMD demand and evolving technology requirements, ensuring alignment across schedules, deliverables, and execution plans.
Serve as a primary point of contact for suppliers on mid‑ to long‑term strategy, influencing supplier leadership to align with AMD business and technology needs.
Develop a deep understanding of supplier capabilities, constraints, and investment considerations to support strategic decision‑making.
Drive standardization and continuous improvement of business processes, tools, and frameworks to enhance problem‑solving and execution efficiency.
Lead and align a matrixed, global team, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and progress toward program objectives.
Develop dashboards, track performance against key metrics, and communicate status, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders and management.
Preferred Experience
Knowledge of advanced packaging or substrate technologies and related supply chains.
Experience working with global, cross‑functional teams and external suppliers in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
Academic Credentials
Master’s degree preferred in Materials Engineering or a related technical field.
