Job Summary
The Bed Placement & Transfer Center Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, prioritizing and optimizing all inpatient bed assignments within the Medical Center. This position facilitates patient transfers from other facilities to Saint Francis Medical Center and works with other areas within the Medical Center to assure proper staffing is maintained based on current census.
Job Details & Requirements
Time Type: PRN, as needed, without benefits
Typical Hours: Variable shifts, weekend and holiday rotation.
Education
College Diploma required. Nursing required. AA degree required. BSN preferred.
Licensing & Certification
Currently licensed to practice in the State of Missouri. BLS Certification required.
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years working as a registered nurse in a hospital setting. Minimal of two (2) years computer experience, including all Microsoft Office suite programs, report writing skills, and Microsoft Access.
Demonstrates knowledge and ability to organize and perform detailed work.
Demonstrates ability to perform a variety of duties under stress.
Demonstrates evidence of good verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrates evidence of good telephone etiquette.
Demonstrates evidence of understanding and practice of customer orientation.
Excellent problem solving skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision and multitask.
