Job Summary

Event Set-up Lead - 1st Shift
This frontline position is responsible for coordinating and executing event setups for conferences, meetings, and special events at Union South. The Event Setup Lead guides and trains student workers, ensures smooth execution of events, and provides exceptional customer service. Occasionally supports events in additional buildings.
Schedule

Sunday - Thursday 6:45 am – 3:15 pm
Compensation

Wage: $18.00 per hour
+$0.80 differential weekend pay for Saturday and Sunday
+$2.50 differential night pay for work performed between 6 pm and 6 am
Key Job Responsibilities

Assists with scheduling logistics and securing resources for vendor services
Gathers, enters, and maintains accurate event data and records
Assists with the creation of promotional materials and resources for events
Guides and trains student workers
Performs on‑site event set‑up and clean‑up and may perform basic custodial duties
Greets customers/guests, assists with registration, answers questions, and provides routine information, referring more complex issues to appropriate entities
Required Qualifications

Ability to walk, stand, lift, carry, bend, stoop and climb for the majority of the shift, including extended periods of continuous physical activities with or without an accommodation
Ability to lift and move supplies, equipment and material regularly up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs. with or without an accommodation
Ability to move, push and stack furniture regularly, often in excess of 100 lbs. with or without an accommodation
