Summary of Role
The Blount County RRHP Master’s Level Program Coordinator is a member of a multi‑disciplinary team, providing administrative and programmatic oversight to clients within an adult residential substance use treatment facility. Responsibilities include initiating and maintaining professional clinical relationships with a team of health practitioners.

Summary of Position
Responsible for the day‑to‑day operations of residential services, ensuring client care that promotes quality clinical outcomes and supports recovery. Oversees administrative and programmatic functions, contract reporting and compliance, direct supervision of team leaders, care coordinators, and residential counselors, and front‑line duties as needed. Participates in an on‑call rotation for administrative and programmatic emergencies.

Typical Working Conditions/Environment

Full‑time position in a residential treatment center for adults with substance use disorders.

The program operates 24/7, 365 days a year.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Program Responsibility

Work in a multi‑disciplinary team to meet clinical needs of individuals in the program.

Complete all required documentation in accordance with Center policy and funding source guidelines.

Assist with monitoring the effectiveness of treatment and quality outcomes for the program.

Oversee daily program operation for clients and direct‑care staff, assigning/managing daily schedules and covering as needed (including after‑hours, weekends, and holidays).

Ensure completion and documentation of monthly inspections, fire drills, and quarterly EAP procedures.

Oversee monthly schedules for team leaders and residential counselors, adhering to ratio requirements.

Participate in a weekly on‑call rotation for administrative and programmatic emergencies.

Ensure timely P‑Card reconciliation of receipts.

Respond to all emails, voicemails, text messages, and crisis calls within appropriate time frames.

Meet weekly with the Assistant Director for clinical and administrative supervision.

Promote harmonious relationships by openly communicating concerns and maintaining a positive attitude.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Communicate assertively and approach conflict with a problem‑solving mindset.

Organize and develop team cohesion.

Supervision and Management

Provide direct supervision of program staff to ensure appropriate programmatic and clinical services.

Schedule and facilitate monthly all‑staff meetings, including trainings and education.

Provide guidance and/or training to all staff on clinical issues as needed.

Attend weekly Management/Leadership team meetings punctually.

Participate in or delegate participation in daily treatment teams.

Ensure documentation is completed appropriately by staff (ASAM, notes, etc.).

Fill vacancies in a timely manner with qualified candidates and maintain appropriate 24/7 staffing levels.

Supervise staff on a regular basis, completing necessary documentation for meetings.

Identify staff issues and address promptly with progressive disciplinary procedures.

Complete annual evaluations on staff, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and goals for development.

Facilitate peer review of client records to ensure compliance.

Ensure a minimum of two internal activities/groups per day and one external activity/group per week.

Ensure each client is seen by the RN, vitals obtained twice weekly, and by a prescriber at least twice a month.

Ensure Care Coordinator provides weekly face‑to‑face contact per month for all clients.

Conduct treatment teams weekly and submit monthly productivity reports before the 12th of the following month.

Community Outreach

Represent the Center in the community in a professional manner.

Participate in community outreach activities to promote program visibility.

Professional Development

Develop a professional development plan with supervisor in yearly evaluations.

Explore continuing education opportunities and request approval to attend trainings.

Complete all Relias training modules and stay current with staff trainings.

Compensation
Starting salary approximately $64,213 per year, based on experience and education.

Schedule

Monday‑Friday, 40 hours per week, with varying start and end times as needed.

Residential duties include holidays and participation in an on‑call rotation that may involve weekends and after‑hours work.

Travel

No daily client transportation required, though emergencies may require assistance.

Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment.

Staff may use personal vehicle or company van for client transport, with mileage reimbursement.

F endorsement is required.

Equipment / Technical Competency
Requires basic computer and electronic skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Qualifications
Experience / Knowledge
Minimum two years supervisory experience in the social work or addictions field or related behavioral health and criminal justice setting. Knowledge of substance use, mental health recovery, co‑occurring disorders, and experience working with SPMI essential. Demonstrated compassion, screening, assessment, intake, and counseling skills. Experience with individual, group, and/or family therapy and motivational interviewing preferred.

Education / License
Master’s degree in Human Services or related field, with coursework or experience in cultural diversity, human development, and treatment of mental illness, substance abuse, and related issues. Professional license preferred. Knowledge of co‑occurring residential treatment environment required.

Physical/Emotional/Social Skills and Abilities

Proficient in close eye work for writing and computer use.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 150 lbs, and engage in frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching.

Certification in verbal and physical de‑escalation techniques.

Excellent communication, time‑management, and organizational skills.
