We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for mid- to senior-level professionals who bring strong technical expertise in land development design and are ready to take ownership of projects, mentor junior staff, and contribute to successful project execution.
The successful candidate will lead the planning, design, and execution of site development projects, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams while ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and client satisfaction.
The Civil Engineering function focuses on the planning, design, and execution of land development and site design projects. This includes drainage systems, stormwater management, and overall site development. Projects are supported through technical analysis, engineering calculations, and detailed design using industry-standard software such as Civil 3D, with close coordination across teams and regulatory agencies.
Your Role as Civil Engineer, Land Design
Lead the design and development of civil engineering projects, including site development, grading, drainage, and stormwater management systems
Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and cost estimates using Civil 3D and related design tools
Oversee and perform site visits and field inspections to ensure construction aligns with design intent and regulatory requirements
Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior engineers and designers
Manage project deliverables, schedules, and coordination with internal teams and stakeholders
Perform advanced engineering calculations and analyses related to hydrology, hydraulics, and site design
Review and approve technical reports, plans, and supporting documentationCoordinate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements
Participate in client meetings and contribute to project planning, scope development, and execution strategies
Ensure adherence to safety standards, environmental regulations, and applicable codes
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (or ability to obtain)
2+ years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on land development/site design
Strong proficiency in Civil 3D and related design software
In-depth knowledge of stormwater management, drainage design, and site grading
Experience with permitting and regulatory coordination
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to lead projects and mentor junior team members
Additional Requirements
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
Comfortable working in both office and field environments
Ability to perform site visits, including walking uneven terrain and lifting equipment as needed
