Job Summary
IMI is seeking a full-time experienced Piping Project Manager local to the upstate, SC area.

Essential Functions

Manage piping projects from pre-construction through closeout

Perform detailed material take-offs and interpret P&IDs, isometrics, and other technical drawings

Coordinate with customers, general contractors, vendors, and internal departments

Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and manpower plans

Identify and resolve project issues, design conflicts, or material constraints

Lead and support field teams, including Foreman and General Foreman

Ensure all work meets company and client safety, quality, and performance standards

Prepare and track change orders, RFI documentation, and project reporting

Maintain strong customer relationships through clear and proactive communication

Education And Experience

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or 3-5 years of experience in industrial piping project management or supervision is preferred

Strong understanding of piping systems, materials, and installation processes

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings including P&IDs

Proficiency in scheduling, budgeting, and project documentation

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and solve problems quickly

Strong commitment to safety and quality

Experience in managing piping crews in industrial settings

Background in fabrication, welding procedures, and field installation are preferred

Computer experience, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Excel, Project, Outlook, and project management software

Work Environment/Physical Demands

Stand or walk for long periods of time

Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, or manipulate objects

Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance

Manual dexterity needed for repetitive tasks and operating standard office equipment

Willingness to travel overnight up to 5-10% of the time
