
Junior Mitigation Estimator

Overview
The Junior Mitigation Estimator supports the Estimating Department by preparing accurate mitigation estimates for water, fire, smoke, and mold damage projects. Working closely with Senior Estimators and Claims Managers, this role is an opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the restoration and insurance industry. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple active projects.

Responsibilities
Educate clients on the reconstruction process, timelines, and expectations
Prepare complete and organized scopes of work using Xactimate
Review job documentation, photos, moisture logs, and field reports to support accurate scoping
Conduct and assist with site visits to document dimensions, damages, diagrams, and images of each room or section
Communicate professionally with project managers, field technicians, and adjusters
Deliver well-documented estimates to the team in a timely manner
Identify and communicate project challenges early to minimize delays
Qualifications
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in restoration, mitigation, or insurance-related field
Basic working knowledge of Xactimate; formal training or coursework a plus
Familiarity with mitigation processes including water extraction, drying, mold remediation, and fire/smoke cleanup (preferred)
Strong attention to detail and highly organized
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter with a proactive, team-first attitude — no task is too big or too small
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States and able to pass a background check
Valid Driver\'s License required for travel to job sites
Salary: $30-$35 per hour, pending experience
