Summary:
Provide comprehensive secretarial and office management support to a busy healthcare department in a regional medical center located in the Southeastern United States. This role involves coordinating office functions, managing communications, and supporting daily administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage clerical support activities within the designated department.
Type and distribute letters, reports, and memorandums as requested by department staff.
Ensure accurate ordering of supplies and processing of work orders.
Answer phone calls and relay messages and information accurately to staff members.
Record and distribute department meeting minutes as needed.
Prepare and document department time logs for payroll distribution.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support department efficiency.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years of secretarial or clerical experience is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong ability to prioritize assignments and delegate tasks effectively.
Familiarity with medical terminology is essential.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in computer operation and ability to read various written documents.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to hear and communicate clearly both orally and in writing, and tolerate extended periods of sitting.
