Job Purpose & Responsibilities
The Elo Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day execution and optimization of the Knoxville Operations Center. Working cross functionally with Customer Care, Logistics, Planning, and RMA Services to ensure our operation is efficient and focused on meeting customer needs. Balancing inbound receiving / put away, outbound sales order processing, and on-going inventory management, while meeting service, quality, and cost objectives.

Reporting to the VP of Global Supply Chain, the Knoxville Operations Manager drives operational performance, leads frontline teams, and implements continuous improvement initiatives aligned with global supply chain and customer centric KPI’s.

Out-bound Fulfillment

Lead the end-to-end execution of sales order fulfillment through traditional distributor shipments, direct shipments, drop shipments, and cross docks.

Set the strategy and manage the performance of logistics partners.

Direct the strategy for order processing, picking, packing, and shipping functions.

Partner with planning and customer service teams to manage order prioritization.

Manage the strategy and reporting of End-of-quarter peek volumes.

In-bound Receiving

Ensure the accuracy and quality of all inbound products.

Balance inbound and outbound shipments.

Analyze customer backlog and inbound schedules to prioritize work in a way that optimizes on-time-delivery and customer priorities.

Inventory & Warehouse Management

Maintain accurate inventory control, including cycle counts and reconciliation.

Optimize warehouse layout, space utilization, and material flow.

Ensure proper handling of serialized, high-value inventory.

Minimize obsolescence, shrinkage, and excess stock.

Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and frontline employees across the operation.

Establish clear performance expectations and accountability.

Drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Support workforce planning, scheduling, and labor productivity.

Ensure service levels are met and drive corrective actions & continuous improvements.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

Identify and implement Lean / Six Sigma initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

Standardize processes and drive best practice adoption across functions.

Utilize KPI’s and data analytics to drive decision-making.

Lead cross-functional problem-solving initiatives.

Quality & Compliance

Ensure compliance with company quality standards and regulatory requirements

Maintain adherence to warranty policies and repair documentation standards

Partner with Quality teams on audits, corrective actions, and process improvements

Interface with Asia-based manufacturing and supply chain teams to align on supply, quality, and repair trends

Support communication flow regarding product issues, demand changes, and service requirements

Participate in global operational reviews and reporting

Minimum Qualifications

At least three to five years of logistics, warehouse management, ocean (FCL, LCL, expedite), import & export air cargo & parcel, freight (TL, LTL, Parcel), management of 3PL distribution centers

At least three years of experience in negotiating

BS degree in Business with an emphasis on logistics, transportation or supply chain

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications: CPSM, CLTD, CPIM or similar

Spanish or Portuguese language skills a plus

Previous ERP experience (SAP SD, MM, WM modules)

Specific Professional Skills/Competencies

Thorough understanding of the US domestic and international intermodal transportation market including port activities

Well versed in US import and (re-)export regulations: ITAR, C-TPAT, dual use list, military list

Strong organizational skills, able to identify and finalize projects within targeted time frame

Able to quickly acquire an insight in systems and processes

Demonstrated skill in process development and continuous improvement

A team player with the ability to work on your own initiative

Good written and spoken proficiency in English

Physical Demands

Ability to lift up to OSHA single person lift requirements

Ability to sit, stand, bend, or walk for prolonged periods of time

Ability to travel domestically and internationally

Must be able to work a standard full-time schedule

Must be able to work onsite in Knoxville, TN
