Overview
Transform the backbone of digital infrastructure by leading a dynamic team that builds and maintains the critical networks powering Amazon’s global technology ecosystem. You will drive operational excellence, optimize data center deployment strategies, and create seamless connectivity solutions that support Amazon’s technology infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of technicians who install and build server rack capacity for customers
Develop and mentor technicians and engineers, ensuring high performance and technical expertise
Deliver capacity to existing data centers and assist in building and launching new data centers
Continuously improve all processes and procedures, identifying opportunities for enhancement
Assist and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors
Liaise with internal teams and management groups
Ensure compliance with and exceed local health & safety standards in all data centers
Create and maintain metrics for all aspects of the data centers and use metrics to drive positive change
Assist in implementing service methodologies, including incident management, problem management, change management, and capacity management
Essential Requirements
Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed (often >50 miles)
Willingness to temporarily work at alternative sites during training periods or until assigned facility becomes operational
Travel frequency will vary based on business needs and the operational status of the assigned facility
Basic Qualifications
2+ years of data center, critical environment, computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, or data center operations experience
2+ years of management or team lead function experience
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in a relevant field such as A+, Net+, Sec+, CCNA, LPIC, Linux+, AWS certification, CND, or Security+
Experience conducting interviews and making effective hiring decisions
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, overnight, and weekends
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional or military experience in an IT-related field (e.g., computer science, network engineering)
Experience installing physical data center equipment such as copper/fiber cabling and racks
Understanding of networking infrastructure topology

Base salary range: $78,400.00 – $137,300.00 USD annually (USA, OH, Hilliard).
