Developing the right security architecture for disparate environments demands a mix of technical expertise and strategic foresight. That’s why we need you, an Operational Technology (OT) security engineer who knows how to craft and implement comprehensive security solutions for complex systems.
Responsibilities
As an OT security engineer on our team, you’ll conduct cybersecurity assessments, design security solutions, and monitor threats to protect critical defense platforms and cyber‑physical systems. Your deep understanding of system designs, protocols, and physical configurations will guide the implementation of countermeasures, threat detection, and the maintenance of overall cybersecurity posture. You will oversee onsite security assessments and collaborate cross‑functionally with government stakeholders.
You Have
5+ years of experience in an engineering, security, or IT field
Experience with RMF, NIST SP 800‑53 controls, DoD STIGs, and DoD cybersecurity compliance processes
Experience supporting technical reviews, working groups, and documentation development for high‑visibility defense programs
Experience with Zero Trust architecture principles, frameworks, and implementation within complex weapon or mission system environments
Knowledge of cyber test planning, execution, and reporting, including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and cyber resilience evaluations
Knowledge of systems engineering processes such as SRR, PDR, CDR, or TRR, and the integration of cybersecurity requirements, controls, and risk assessments throughout the system lifecycle
Ability to maintain cybersecurity posture documentation, participate in A&A activities, manage changes affecting system authorizations, coordinate across multiple engineering, cybersecurity, and program management teams, and effectively communicate technical and risk‑related information to stakeholders
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree
Nice If You Have
Experience supporting or advising on cyber‑related cost estimates, schedules, and technical baselines within acquisition or PMO environments
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Master’s degree
IAT Level III certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or CASP
Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
Compensation
Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
