Strategic Partnerships & Data Lead
AmeriCorps, Raleigh, NC, United States
Overview
Support the creation of a county-wide “shared backbone” for food access coordination—directory/portal, common toolkits, mapping, and evaluation—so partners can find each other, act faster, and measure results across schools, gardens, markets, and food rescue. Increase food insecure community members and partner awareness of food security resources, application guidelines, and myths. Some programs of note are: The Summer Food Service Program, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Women Infant & Children (WIC), Meals on Wheels & congregate feeding sites, area food pantries, etc. - Improve outreach strategies to increase the number of clients seeing information and following through to receive resources. Co-design content categories (schools, markets, pantries, gardens, rescue); compile contacts/resources; publish a searchable directory and shared calendar. Map SFSP coverage; grocery rescue sites; farmers market benefit acceptance; communal garden locations; identify underserved zones and propose partner activations. Standardize cross-program indicators; build quarterly dashboards; facilitate Roundtables with data snapshots.
