Job Title: YWPN Campus Program and Project Specialist. Wage/Hour Status: Exempt. Reports to: Campus Principal and Coordinator of Programs and Partnerships and Director of Development (YWPN Primary Contracts). Pay Grade: AP1. Dept./School: Talkington School YWL. Length of Contract: 210 to 226 days. Updated: 04/2026. The Young Women's Preparatory Network Foundation is funding this position at Talkington School YWL at Lubbock ISD; funded position and contingent on availability of funds.
Job Summary
The YWPN Campus Program and Project Specialist oversees the coordination, administration, and implementation of campus-wide programming, including camps, conferences, internships, mentoring initiatives, fundraising campaigns and activities, and other educational enhancement programs and resources. The primary duties of this role include planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and overseeing program-related activities and data management. Working with the YWPN staff, the candidate will create and manage a portfolio of foundation/corporate/individual partners for campus opportunities and activities, grant opportunities, applications, and program reporting. The Campus Program and Project Specialist will initially develop deep knowledge of YWPN's programs and will focus on the following areas: program implementation, program leadership, program management, and external relations. This individual will work closely with students attending the YWPN campus and encourage their involvement in planned programs.
Minimum Qualifications
College degree
Professional internship or work experience preferred
Knowledge And Skills
General understanding of the YWPN mission and services provided to the schools.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Proficient understanding of technology including Microsoft Office, and distance learning platforms (ie., Zoom, Google Classroom, Teams)
Ability to exercise sound judgment
Excellent ability to lead and/or collaborate with a team
Strong interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others to achieve overall goals and objectives
Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds
Experience in the facilitation and implementation of educational programs
Self-directed with a demonstrated passion for the advancement of girls' education
Displays a positive attitude and demonstrates integrity at all times
Multi-tasking and organizational skills
Essential Responsibilities
Maintain and foster strong relationships with community partners
Work with campus and YWPN leadership teams to understand and align budget/fundraising to programming needs
Work with existing partners to implement virtual opportunities for the campus
Maintain and coordinate partnership programming for students
Monitor student's participation in service-learning opportunities and maintain the service-learning database for the campus
Manage, schedule, and implement annual alumnae reception and panel discussion
Manage, schedule, and implement annual career day
Manage, schedule, and implement Mentoring Program
Manage, schedule, and implement the Internship Program
Manage and assist the College Success Advisor in planning the Senior Signing Day Celebration
Coordinate after-school partner programs and events as needed
Organize community service opportunities for students
Oversee student engagement and participation at community and partner events
Transport and supervise students to school/community events
Support campus leadership as needed
Coordinate, organize, and support all summer programming initiatives offered by YWPN and the campus
Recruit students to participate in activities, programs, camps, and opportunities with deliberate intentionality
Coordinate with YWPN to execute network wide sisterhood opportunities for students
Additional Responsibilities
Present at various campus and YWPN leadership events
Represent the campus and the YWPN at relevant conferences, symposiums, school and local events
Attend board meetings as requested
Collaborate on projects with schools and other YWPN staff members
Additional duties as assigned by the principal or YWPN-AP Coordinator
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry and otherwise move up to 10 pounds on a regular basis
Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, or walk for various lengths of time throughout the day
Ability to utilize computer equipment to complete daily work responsibilities
Ability to operate fax/copy machines, telephone, calculator, and general office equipment
