
Quality Control Inspector

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to support our manufacturing and quality assurance operations. This role is responsible for performing inspections at various stages of production, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, and maintaining accurate quality records. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, technical aptitude, and a commitment to maintaining high product standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on materials and components
Evaluate parts through visual and mechanical inspection methods using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges
Interpret engineering drawings and specification sheets to verify product compliance
Review and maintain quality documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper archiving
Manage and track calibration records for inspection equipment; coordinate calibration activities as needed
Support implementation and maintenance of quality management systems (QMS)
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address quality issues and minimize production disruptions
Perform additional quality-related tasks as needed
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 2 years of relevant inspection or manufacturing experience
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Word and Excel)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree in a related field
Experience with machining processes
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems
Success Metrics
Minimal disruption to production due to defective materials
Timely completion of inspection activities
Accurate and organized quality documentation
Consistent calibration and readiness of inspection equipment
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Primarily a production/office environment
Occasional lifting of items over 20 lbs
Combination of sedentary and active inspection tasks
