Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer — Metals & Machining
About DAUCH

DAUCH is the global leader in conventional, all-wheel, and electrified drive systems and solutions. With a comprehensive global footprint, we design, develop, manufacture, and integrate a wide spectrum of driveline technologies for more than 90% of the world’s car manufacturers.

A Day in the Role

Morning: You kick off by reviewing supplier test data from a new metal-formed component. You validate the test approach, refine acceptance criteria, and prepare feedback for the supplier’s quality team.

Midday: You collaborate with internal stakeholders in engineering, procurement, and plant quality to align on PPAP status for a die-cast housing. You confirm alignment with DAUCH requirements and IATF 16949 expectations.

Afternoon: You facilitate a CI/VAVE workshop with an existing supplier to reduce variation and cost. You update QMS documentation to reflect an improved control plan and draft a succinct summary tailored for both executive and technical audiences.

Evening: You capture risks, record actions in the workflow tool, and advise internal partners on next steps to ensure every supplied product meets the agreed specification.

What You’ll Own

Test Method Leadership: Validate and improve new and existing quality assurance test methods and procedures.

Hands‑on Testing: Execute complex inspections and interpret results to confirm specification conformance.

QMS Stewardship: Support the design, development, and documentation of quality management policies and processes.

Continuous Improvement & VAVE: Spot opportunities, lead change initiatives, and embed sustainable improvements.

Stakeholder Partnership: Build a strong internal network; understand needs and ensure clear, effective communication.

Compliance: Uphold organizational policies, procedures, and applicable industry standards (including IATF 16949).
