Key Essential Functions And Accountabilities Of The Job
Oversee the daily operations of SEARHC’s consortium‑wide PAR Inventory Management system in Lawson, reviewing daily reporting to ensure timely scanning and delivery of supplies to PAR locations and performing periodic analysis of supply utilization to recommend changes in standard PAR levels.

Ensure staffing levels are adequate to meet customer demands and oversee the receipt, breakdown, stocking, and delivery of supplies to support effective patient care and the financial health of the organization.

Implement the “Lean Concepts and Principles” for the SEARHC Supply Chain in Materiel Management, continuously improving processes and reducing waste.

Interact with a variety of employees inside and outside the organization, managing complex and sensitive topics with a high degree of interpersonal skill.

Supervise all warehouse and PAR personnel, including development of position descriptions, recruitment, performance appraisal, training, scheduling, leave approval, and timesheet approval while upholding EEO and safety practices.

Coordinate with clinical staff on backorders, assist in approving substitute items, and travel periodically to outlying clinics to assess and adjust PAR inventories and gather customer feedback.

Assist in regular inventory counts at all consortium locations and work with the Supply Chain Analyst, General Accounting, and other stakeholders to ensure inventory is accurately represented on the Consortium balance sheet, identifying trends in expired supplies and persisting root causes of waste.

Prepare and distribute monthly benchmark reports on all supply activities, provide technical advice on PAR Inventory needs, and track inventory turnover rates to recommend adjustments to minimums and maximums.

Coordinate the technical objectives of Inventory Management and Warehouse Operations, managing stock at all warehouse locations to maintain sufficient quantities for timely delivery.

Actively participate with the Director of Supply Chain on short‑term and long‑term planning to develop proposals for operational and budgetary changes to the Supply Chain Department and SEARHC as a whole.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline.

High School Diploma (or equivalent) and six years of experience in Purchasing and Inventory Control Systems in a Healthcare setting can substitute for the Bachelor’s degree requirement.

Experience

Experience using Lawson or similar inventory control/PAR management solutions is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proficiency with accounting, purchasing, or inventory ERP computer systems.

Ability to make all additions, changes, and deletions of items in Lawson to adjust reorder points and quantities, maximizing inventory turns and reducing overall inventory valuation.

Effectively manage staffing and timelines to ensure timely performance of day‑to‑day activities within the department.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, customer service orientation, and interpersonal skills with diverse customers.

Demonstrated “make it happen” attitude and promotion of a positive, energetic team environment.

Abilities

Requires standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, stooping, bending, stair climbing, pulling, and pushing. Must lift 50 pounds regularly and push/pull carts up to 100 pounds or more.
