Under the supervision of the PDC Supervisors and PDC Manager, the wave planner allocates orders that are dropped to the processors picking orders in the shipping department. This is a critical role for allocation orders and managing the work flow of orders daily. The wave planner must have keen knowledge of AMOS system, processor productivity, training areas and order cut off times. The wave planner works closely with the department leads to ensure orders flow as outlined in the waving plan for the PDC and they assist in monitoring progress to ensure all orders are picked, packed and delivered to the carrier on time. Outside of these primary work responsibilities, other work may be assigned as required to accomplish daily goals.
Initiate order allocations in the LG955 screen, AMOS.
Monitor processor picking activity and adjust as necessary.
Monitor progress and communicate to Supervisor, challenges.
Assist in the packing process at the pack stations and with dock operations as needed.
Allocation to align to MPA culture of Safety and Quality.
Allocate order drops and assignments to processors, daily.
Monitor the pick rates and re-adjust work accordingly to achieve objectives.
Monitor processor activity and communicate gaps in picking activity.
Coordinate with the department leads to ensure all parts are picked and packed to meet required carrier times.
Convey any and all issues regarding picking activity and system functionality to the Shipping Department Supervisor.
Monitors and coaches employees on 5S activities associated with end of day set up.
Performs Special Project Work as required at the direction of Management.
