Cardiac Care APP opening Äì Conway, SC10 miles from Myrtle BeachPosition Details

• FT, permanent position
• Outpatient and inpatient role with stress lab coverage
• Manage Cardiac Care patients from initial inpatient consultation through diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up in collaboration with physicians
• Standard office hours:
- Monday ÄìThursday: 8:00am Äì5:00pm - Friday: 8:00am Äì12:00pm
• 4.5 clinic days per week
• Protected administrative time: 4 hours per week
• Patient schedule: 20-minute new visits / 20-minute follow-ups
• Call schedule shared with interventional and non-invasive cardiology physicians (currently 5 physicians, expanding to 7)
• Join a team of 5 existing APPs covering clinic, inpatient consults, and stress lab
• This role focuses on clinic and stress lab coverage
• EMR: Cerner
Clinical Details
• Collaborative care with Emergency Department, surgical services, vascular surgery, cardiopulmonary rehab, Cath Lab, and imaging teams
• Access to advanced cardiac technologies and complex procedural cases
• Plans underway to develop a hybrid procedure room for next-generation minimally invasive cardiac care
• Adult patient population, primarily age 55+, including patients with smoking history and peripheral cardiac conditions such as claudication
• Strong referral base supported by one of the largest primary care networks in the region
• Monthly referral volume: approximately 60 Äì75 new referrals
• Workflow highlights:
- Majority of referrals require ultrasound prior to initial visit - Ultrasounds reviewed by the cardiac care team before scheduling - Follow-up visits scheduled post-imaging at multiple clinic locationsFacilities & Support
• Dedicated support staff including nurses, front office staff, ultrasound technologists, and experienced cardiac RNs
• Direct support from interventional cardiologists and APP imaging staff
• Facilities include:
- 2-room Cath Lab - 10 operating rooms - 14-bed Cardiac Monitoring Unit
• Clinic space directly connected to Cath Lab for efficient coordination
• In-house wound care and hyperbaric services supporting cardiac and vascular care integration
• Largest dedicated cardiac service space in the local market
Imaging & Diagnostics
• Advanced imaging capabilities including:
- Digital subtraction angiography (DSA) - 256-slice CT - MRI (3T and 1.5T) - In-office ultrasoundRequirements
• Experienced Advanced Practice Provider preferred
• Candidates with strong nursing backgrounds in cardiac care, telemetry, or related areas may be considered if APP experience is under 2 years
