About the Role
We are looking for a Risk and Compliance Analyst II to assist in the development, implementation, and management of our Compliance Program and Risk Management Plan. The analyst ensures all regulations are followed and produces detailed reports. The role involves safety and privacy support, developing processes for compliance, conducting audits, and mitigating risks to patients and the organization.

Essential Functions

Conduct ongoing review of Compliance Plan and Risk Management Plan in addition to all relevant state and federal statutes and regulations.

Work with senior leadership to monitor changes in contractual provisions or regulations and communicate changes to staff.

Track regulatory updates from agencies such as the Joint Commission (TJC), HRSA, OSHA, FTCA and revise annual compliance and risk employee trainings to ensure requirements are met.

Assist the Compliance and Risk Manager in completing regulatory submissions and in distributing open patient safety reports to respective departments.

Facilitate the proper handling of all claims/suits brought against the organization.

Participate in the proper handling of all patient complaints and incident reports supporting the Grievance Analyst.

Review policies and procedures to satisfy relevant state, federal, and industry standards and coordinate efforts with appropriate departmental staff to ensure implementation.

Support consistency in policy content and format throughout the organization.

Coordinate with departments to revise policies and/or practices so they are aligned and satisfy regulatory requirements.

Assist in implementing audit processes to ensure compliance with federal and state statutes and regulations, and support the audit program, implementing and conducting ongoing risk assessment processes at least quarterly.

Conduct audits, analyze information, identify deficiencies, develop reports, and formulate recommendations for corrective action.

Review incident reports, analyze information, identify trends, develop reports, and formulate recommendations to mitigate risk.

Inform the Compliance and Risk Manager of situations of non‑compliance.

Work with department directors and managers to implement corrective action plans, enhance employee trainings, review and improve processes in situations of non‑compliance, monitor progress and ensure completeness.

Monitor compliance risks and ensure that departmental staff respond in a timely manner.

Respond to external requests for information, including audit requests, subpoena requests, insurance requests such as proof of certificate of insurance, and coordinate responses from appropriate department directors and managers.

Assist in the preparation of corrective action plans and responses to additional information requests and patient comment letters, as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree in Business or Public Administration, Public Policy, Health Care Planning or a related field required.

Experience: 2 years of Compliance/Risk experience within the health care industry required; ambulatory care setting preferred. Knowledge of compliance, quality improvement practices and audit techniques, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may qualify. Clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or Licensed Vocational Nurse preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Certificate in Healthcare Compliance preferred.
