What is the role?
The Business Development Manager – Sensor & Components (OEM) is responsible for driving strategic growth across North America by expanding market presence, securing key customer projects, and strengthening long‑term OEM partnerships. This role collaborates closely with global Sales, R&D, and Product Management to identify opportunities, enhance customer engagement, and ensure alignment with overall business strategies. Strong technical expertise and strategic account management skills are essential to advancing Endress+Hauser’s sensor technologies and positioning the Sensor & Components business as a trusted partner.

Which tasks will you perform?

Develop and implement strategic growth plans to drive revenue and strengthen Endress+Hauser’s position within the OEM sensor market.

Identify, qualify, and execute customer projects, ensuring sustainable long‑term business growth through strategic project acquisition and account development.

Collaborate with our leadership on Customer Ecosystem Global Sales and R&D teams, to identify and target key OEM accounts.

Engage key decision‑makers—including purchasing, engineering, and operations—to build strong customer partnerships.

Support innovation‑driven growth by coordinating closely with R&D to maximize project potential and drive new solutions.

Develop targeted account strategies, analyzing customer and market trends to identify new opportunities for formal agreements and long‑term partnerships.

Drive sales of existing products and sensor solutions, ensuring strong market penetration, customer adoption, and revenue growth.

What do we expect from you?
Required

Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field with 7+ years of experience in the sensor market, or 10+ years in OEM‑focused business development, sales, or related industries.

Ability to navigate ambiguity, develop strategic plans, and deliver measurable business results.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical topics clearly.

Ability to work cross‑functionally and build strong internal and external relationships.

High level of ownership, initiative, and customer‑focused mindset.

Ability to travel up to 50% Domestic, 10% International. Most travel is pre‑planned early in the calendar year according to business goals and objectives.

Preferred

Experience with OEM commercial models and long‑term project agreements.

Collaborative working style that promotes alignment and continuous improvement.

Demonstrated growth mindset and receptiveness to feedback.
