A Level I Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center in Youngstown, Ohio is seeking a locum Neurosurgeon for ASAP coverage pending credentialing. The facility is fully equipped to handle the most serious emergencies, with comprehensive hospital services available 24/7.

Assignment Details

• Location: Youngstown, OH

• Coverage Dates: March 3 10

• Start: ASAP pending credentialing

• Practice Setting: Hospital-based

• Trauma Designation: Level I

• Stroke Designation: Primary Stroke Center

• EMR: EPIC

Schedule

• On-call coverage

• 8 12 hour shifts

Clinical Volume

• Average 1 2 emergent surgical cases per day

• Adult and geriatric patients

• Emergent cases through the Emergency Department

Team & Resources

• 1 employed neurosurgeon

• 1 non-employed neurosurgeon

• Neuro IR available in-house

Required Neurosurgery Procedures

• Adult neurosurgery (emergent)

• Trauma neurosurgery

• Brain bleed control

• Clot removal

• Tumor removal

• Trauma repair

• Shunt insertion and revision

Required Spine Procedures

• Spine stabilization and reconstruction

• Vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty

• Spinal fusion

• Laminectomy

• Diskectomy

Compensation TBD/Negotiable

• Daily on-call rate

• Premium call-back rate
