
Vice President, Marketing - Vessel

Responsibilities
The Vice President of Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing enterprise-level marketing strategies that drive revenue growth, ticket sales, and long-term brand equity across direct-to-consumer and group segments for Vessel at Hudson Yards. This role will be key in fostering a culture of data-driven and performance marketing decision-making by spearheading comprehensive analytics insights and capabilities within the team. This individual provides strategic leadership across full-funnel marketing, digital, CRM, paid media, and ecommerce, ensuring alignment with broader organizational objectives and sustainable business performance. This position will be based full-time onsite in the New York office and will report to the SVP of Marketing, Partnerships and Events for Hudson Yards. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Lead the development and execution of integrated, data-driven marketing strategies that support business growth, customer acquisition, retention, and revenue optimization.
Oversee full-funnel marketing efforts across all channels, including paid media, social/digital platforms, website, and CRM, ensuring achievement of defined KPIs.
Provide strategic direction for brand positioning, media planning, social/digital marketing, CRM, marketing partnerships, and ecommerce initiatives to deliver sustained, long-term growth in traffic, conversion, average ticket price and repeat visitation to Vessel and Hudson Yards.
Establish and manage a high-performing functions across social, programmatic, search, retargeting, and CRM channels to ensure predictable and scalable growth.
Direct paid media activities, including annual integrated planning, channel strategy, budgeting, partner selection, execution, and performance measurement.
Drive continuous optimization through testing and adoption of emerging channels, platforms, and marketing technologies.
Lead digital marketing initiatives, including website performance, SEO/GEO, email, and omni-channel CRM programs, leveraging advanced audience segmentation to maximize engagement effectiveness and conversion.
Define and manage marketing and ecommerce performance metrics across the funnel; analyze results and adjust strategies to improve efficiency, ROI, and business impact.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment with Hudson Yards’ strategy and objectives.
Pricing and Packaging
Inventory and Pricing Optimization: Design and oversee inventory and pricing strategies, including dynamic pricing models, to maximize profitability and competitiveness for all revenue streams.
Bundling and Partnerships: Lead the development of packaging options and partnerships that enhance value for guests while driving cross-sell and upsell opportunities. Assess optional media mix by business goals and target audience.
Utilize existing ticketing system to leverage data, and insights to develop marketing plans to drive sustained and long-term brand strength, NPS, NOI, prioritization of resources, and delivery of KPIs.
Strategic Leadership
Develop and implement commercial strategies to enhance revenue, profitability, and market share for Vessel and Hudson Yards. Align strategies across all revenue streams, including ticketing, photo, retail, F&B, sponsorship, tours and events.
Market Positioning: Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and visitor behavior to refine offerings and capture growth opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align with broader Hudson Yards business objectives. Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation to drive revenue growth.
Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
Anticipated base salary range: $175,000 - $200,000
Actual base salary within the anticipated range will be determined by several components including, but not limited to, the individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and market factors.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years of experience in Marketing or Tourism sales related field, preferably with commercial visitor attraction or ticketed/booking sales experience or other D2C eCommerce experience
Experience managing external agencies to develop marketing and ad campaigns that deliver against brand and direct response objectives
Fluency and literacy of multi-channel marketing tactics and digital marketing platforms (website, search, ECRM, display, and social) to generate sales through full funnel experience
Strong leadership skills with experience in managing individuals
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Creative and strategic thinker with a solutions-oriented and growth mindset
Self-starter who is proactive, resourceful, and adaptable
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
