THE OPPORTUNITY
Iron Bow Technologies is hiring a Lead Cisco SD-WAN Network Engineer to provide subject matter expertise, leadership, and insight on advanced networking and data center networking to our Government client. Emphasis on designing, deploying, migrating and managing advanced infrastructure solutions partner technologies and service delivery. The position will directly support Ramstein AB, Germany and the expansion of the architecture across 11 identified in theatre locations.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Provide subject matter expertise, leadership, and insight on advanced SDWAN networking to Government clients.

Analyze, Translate, Drive and Build custom Cisco SDWAN solutions and capabilities with our customers to meet their mission and business objectives.

Design, plan, configure, enable proper features, deploy, and optimize highly scalable and resilient large-scale secured SD-WAN fabrics using Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN to custom fit and migrate the existing customer’s production network for IPv4/IPv6.

Perform deep dive troubleshooting the complex routing/system issues.

Manage solution deployment adhering to modern industry best practices while meeting and exceeding customer expectations.

Actively research, evaluate and drive SDWAN technologies and its’ features and solutions to solve customer needs.

Develop and maintain relationships with strategic partner community and customer base.

Provide technical leadership, mentoring, design reviews to the team and other audiences in the SDWAN technologies.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE THAT DRIVE SUCCESS

15+ years of hands-on experience with network design and implementation.

Deep Experience with large-scale SD-WAN deployments leveraging Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN with migration expertise.

Comprehensive understanding of network technologies in general such as SDWAN, MPLS, MP-BGP, EBGP/IBGP, QoS, OSPF, IS-IS, IPv4, IPv6.

DoD Experience incorporating WAN routing (Air Force experience a value add).

Hardening Cisco devices for security compliance objectives.

Experience with networking and cloud automation solutions such as Ansible, Terraform, Python a bonus.

Excellent oral presentation skills and ability to present in front of small to large audiences.

Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize various project deliverables, committed in meeting target deadlines.

Ability to mentor and lead other network engineers.

Strong attention to detail.

Security+ CE or equivalent IAT II certification required.

Secret security clearance required.
