**Job Title:** Veterinary Technician 1
**Department:** Operations **Job Summary:** The Veterinary Technician 1 (VT1) provides surgery assistance, performs treatments, and presents treatment plans to pet parents, putting compassionate care and clinical excellence at the forefront. **Supervisory Responsibilities:** **Duties/Responsibilities:** Ensures adherence to all AZPV policies and procedures, workflows, and protocols. Follows all regulatory guidelines and requirements to ensure a safe and compliant workplace environment.
Attends continuing education courses and stays up to date on the latest advances in veterinary medicine while maintaining appropriate licensure.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
**Required Skills/Abilities:** Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology.Broad knowledge of animal science including emergency medical protocols. Basic pharmacology knowledge and mathematical skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work under pressure and meet goals.
**Education and Experience:** State-issued active/current Veterinary Technician license 2+ years of experience in veterinary medicine
