Overview
Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) is a leader in transforming healthcare. We are developing a brand‑new Health and Wellness Center at Metropark, a first‑of‑its‑kind facility in New Jersey that offers a comprehensive, one‑stop‑shop health experience to commuters and residents throughout the Northeast.

The Ambulatory Pharmacist will dispense prescriptions and monitor medication therapy in accordance with all applicable regulations and standards, ensuring safe and effective patient care.

Responsibilities

Comply with all state and federal regulations and HMH policies related to drug dispensing, including documentation for controlled and investigational drugs.

Review and dispense prescriptions and clarify potential issues with prescribers.

Monitor patient drug therapy regimens for clinical appropriateness, reviewing allergies, drug‑drug interactions, drug‑food interactions, adverse reactions, dosing, and compliance.

Perform unit and pharmacy inspections to ensure proper maintenance and storage of medications and supplies.

Oversee ancillary personnel (pharmacy technicians, liaisons, navigators, clerks, couriers).

Apply safe medication practices as dictated by organizational policies and procedures.

Meet physical requirements: lift a minimum of 10 lbs., push/pull a minimum of 40 lbs., stand for a minimum of four hours a day.

Adapt care to meet the needs of the patient population—including age, culture, language, hearing and/or visual impairment.

Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Adhere to HMH organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Graduate of an ACPE‑accredited school of pharmacy, or equivalent, with at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of one year of pharmacy experience.

Licenses & Certifications

Valid New Jersey Pharmacist License.

Compensation & Benefits
Job pay commences at a minimum hourly rate of $70.22. Total compensation is based on market data, experience, education, and other non‑discriminatory factors. HMH offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits.
