Position Summary
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will work alongside healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to our patients. Your duties will include performing clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our occupational medicine clinic.
Schedule
PRN, as needed (Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM, Saturdays 9:00 AM-2:00 PM)
Compensation
Starting compensation range is $21.00-$24.00 hourly. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Previous experience as a medical assistant preferred
Must be flexible to provide coverage to our Stockton, Modesto and Los Banos.
Responsibilities
Assist with scheduling appointments, managing patient records, assisting with billing and coding tasks
Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims
Perform basic clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs and administering medications
Assist providers with drug testing, physical evaluations, drawing blood samples and other clinical duties
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the back office and exam rooms
Provide patient education and answer patient questions
Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and ethical standards
Follow company policies, procedures, and directives
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth operation of the practice
Assist with medical procedures as needed
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
