Continue your Interior Design career with a fun and rewarding company by joining our team at Haverty’s Furniture! We are seeking Interior Design Consultants or Design Graduates to help create dynamic home décor designs and furnish happiness for our customers.
Compensation & Schedule
Compensation: $55,000 to $100,000+ per year. Average annual salary for 2025: $84,000 nationally.
Schedule: 5 days a week; retail hours 10 am–7 pm Monday–Saturday and 12 pm–6 pm Sunday.
Responsibilities
Work with customers and sales consultants to create beautiful rooms and recommend furniture and accessories.
Provide in‑home, in‑store, and virtual consultations.
Create floor plans and photo‑realistic 3‑D renderings of Haverty’s products.
Assist sales consultants in closing transactions with design knowledge.
Coordinate with customers during home visits and final presentations.
Provide feedback to sales consultants and branch managers after visits.
Create special‑order SKUs and increase sales reserves.
Offer constructive feedback to customers to build sales.
Know special sales, financing, delivery procedures, and warranties.
Use My Sales Center to access and follow‑up with customers.
Maintain knowledge of furniture styles and products.
Maintain consistent sales levels and key metrics.
Participate in sales training on the sales floor.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in interior design or related field; or 2–4 years of related experience; or equivalent combination; ASID certification preferred.
Valid driver’s license with clean record and reliable transportation with minimum state insurance.
Experience with Microsoft Office; knowledge of a room planner software is beneficial; proficiency in image software preferred.
Work Environment
Showrooms with a 140‑year heritage; fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment; professional dress code.
5‑day workweek, retail hours as above; flexibility for home visits.
Physical Demands
Frequent standing, walking, sitting; use of hands; lifting more than 20 lbs occasionally.
Color recognition required.
