Strategy | Focus | Purpose
We are seeking a dependable and compassionate CNA Transportation Driver to support resident transportation needs while also providing routine CNA services when not driving. This role plays an important part in ensuring residents receive safe care and timely access to services. This is a direct support role with no supervisory or management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation CNA
Safely transport residents to and from appointments or designated locations
Assist residents with entering and exiting vehicles in accordance with OSHA guidelines
Maintain vehicle cleanliness, fueling and basic readiness
Follow all traffic laws and facility safety procedures
Provide routine daily nursing care and services per resident care plans when not transporting
Observe residents and report changes in condition to nursing leadership
Keep state registration and inspection current
Ensure current insurance card is present in vehicle
Medical Supply Support
Assist with ordering approved medical and nursing supplies as directed
Receive, inspect, and properly store supplies according to manufacturer and facility guidelines
Maintain organized supply storage areas
Track inventory levels and notify supervisors of low or missing supplies
Match packing slips and invoices with received items and report discrepancies
Assist with issuing supplies to departments according to established procedures
Ensure safety data sheets (SDS) are available for applicable products
Follow infection control, safety and storage requirements for all supplies
Checks incoming medical supplies against shipping slips or delivery documents, notes backordered or missing items and forwards required documentation according to facility procedures
Training | Safety | Compliance
Attend orientation, in‑service training and required annual education programs
Follow policies related to resident rights, HIPAA, infection prevention and abuse prevention
Promptly report accidents, incidents, unsafe conditions or equipment issues
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Qualifications
Education & Certification – Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Licensed Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) in accordance with state laws
Experience | Skills | Knowledge – Required
Valid Texas Certified Nursing Assistant certification
Texas Driver License with a responsible driving record
Working with individuals with developmental disabilities
Knowledge of patient care and caregiving practices
Familiarity with medical terminology and medical office procedures
Understanding of critical care situations
Proficiency in handling Durable Medical Equipment (DME)
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served
Be a supportive Team Member; contribute to and be an example of teamwork and concept
Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
Deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public
Ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel
Demonstrate patience, tact, cheerful disposition, enthusiasm and have the capability and soft skills to handle difficult residents
Seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices
Relate information concerning a resident’s conditions
Not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of other individuals in the workplace
Preferred
Up to one year working in a Skilled Nursing Facility Environment
Physical | Sensory Requirements
Able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet
May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations
