
MENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN - FULL-TIME - DAY SHIFT

Mental Health Technician – Full‑time Day Shift (6:00 am – 2:30 pm).
Location: Michiana Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility).
Position Summary
The Mental Health Technician plays an integral role in our comprehensive patient‑centered care model. Typical responsibilities include the following:
Orient patient to unit and program.
Carry out teaching activities identified in the treatment plan under the supervision of the nurse in charge.
Provide continuous patient care and assist patients in all areas.
Establish and maintain therapeutic boundaries complying with established training program.
Demonstrate responsibility for observation of patients at all times.
Assist patient with activities of daily living.
Practice universal precautions and environment safety guidelines.
Qualifications
High School Graduate or equivalent. College degree a plus.
Willing to train the right individual who has a passion for children, adolescents, and adults with mental health and addiction disorders.
Experience working with children and adolescents a plus.
Hours: 40 hours/week. Day shift (6:00 am – 2:30 pm). Must be able to work rotating weekends.
