Pharmacist (Full‑Time) | Clinical Specialist (Carthage Focus)
Serve the Jefferson County community through advanced clinical care.
Schedule & Setting
Primary Location: Carthage Area Hospital (3 days per week).
Secondary Location: Claxton Campus (2 days per week).
Hours: Day Shift (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM).
Travel: Reliable transportation required; mileage is reimbursed.
Call: Once-a-month weekend call.
Core Responsibilities
Provide timely compounding, distribution, and clinical monitoring for our local patient population.
Consult with the healthcare team to ensure the safety and effectiveness of prescribed drug therapies.
Lead discharge counseling and direct patient teaching to improve long-term health outcomes.
Maintain quality assurance and compliance with all healthcare regulatory agencies.
Requirements
Current NYS Pharmacy License & Valid NYS Driver’s License.
Current BLS Certification.
Hospital experience is heavily preferred (retail experience will be considered).
Ability to make both independent and joint clinical decisions efficiently.
Preferred Specialty Experience
Cancer Treatment / Oncology
Dialysis
Mental Health / Behavioral Health
Pay & Benefits
Grade 8 Range: $64.07 – $84.89/hour
Final pay is determined by experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future.
Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
