The Position

The Regional Nurse Supervisor will be responsible for the administration of Nursing services as assigned under the direction of the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing, for the region. Directs, plans, and coordinates the service activities and staffing performance of professional nursing and agency nursing personnel in rendering quality patient care. Provides, coordinates, and directs patient care.
Responsibilities

Provides direct and indirect skilled nursing care to patients Implementation and management of physician orders related to nursing
Selects, trains, develops, and motivates a highly skilled professional and allied staff
Assures that departmental staff complete orientation, maintain clinical competence, performs supervisory visits, participate in continuing education, received counseling and are evaluated in a timely manner
Assure that patient verification, assessment, teaching and the ongoing scheduling of nursing services occurs in a timely and appropriate manner
Assures that all patient related documentation is accurately completed, submitted and/or filed in a timely manner, according to internal and external regulatory requirements and in support of the billing process
Participates in planning, decision-making and implementation of all service center activities that affect clinical nursing services and the performance of the multi-disciplinary team
Secures and maintains all applicable professional certifications, accreditations and employment requirements as required of the nursing staff and department
Coordination of patient care in conjunction with nurse scheduler and or clinical coordinator
Assures all nursing documentation is accounted for and billed in a timely manner
Promotes efficiency and productivity of nursing dept in conjunction with nurse manager
Works closely with the Nurse Manager and Operations Manager to assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate clinical and administrative policies, procedures, programs and systems
Assures own professional growth and clinical competence
Adheres to all policies, procedures and standards of conduct
Reports to the appropriate management any known or suspected violations of policies, procedures, regulations or standards of conduct
Schedule

Must be able to work 100 percent in office
Must have Nurse Supervisory/Nurse Management position working in an Infusion Nursing role - preferred Specialty Infusion Pharmacy experience
Must be able to work Full time, Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm, 40 hours per week
Must be able to provide infusions to patients in their homes as well as the infusion suite as needed
Must be able to participate in an on-call rotation every other weekend
Must be able to drive up to 100 miles one direction to see patients as needed (we offer mileage reimbursement and hourly rate of pay- even when driving!)
Must be knowledgeable of the following IV devices to include: IV lines, accessing ports, and administration of infusion medications
Requirements

Current RN Licensure by the applicable state’s Board of Nursing, in good standing, Texas RN License
Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution preferred.
Advanced certification in specialty areas of practice (e.g. CRNI, ONS, IgRN) preferred but not required
Minimum 2 years Nursing practice in a related specialty such as home infusion and or specialty infusion, home health, oncology, nutrition support, IV therapy or critical care
Minimum 2 years Pediatric Nursing experience ideal
Clinical expertise in IV therapies with monitoring, skill and knowledge of all types of IV lines
Minimum 1 year management experience, proven ability to manage, train and educate staff on new protocols and existing standard operating procedures
Ability to work with all levels of employees in a fast‑paced clinical environment and manage multiple complex projects
Knowledge of vascular access devices and infusion therapies
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with MS Office
Must have a drivers license and properly registered vehicle to see patients as needed
